Too long to count

Wow, it's been way to long to count since I have last updated. My internet on my laptop has been down, and things were crazy at school and then crazy with trying to find a job...but now I have found a job and am finally done training so it's nice to have a day off and actually just do a whole lot of nothing.

So much has happened since I last entried. I don't even know where to begin, but I'll update as to Hobbes: Hobbes has moved into Chris and Mike's apartment now, and he's such a cute kitty still. He runs to the door when I come in, and then meows at me because he likes to cuddle...but he kind of jumps away from the boys when they want to snuggle him, so it's cute. He still loves to play - and he scares himself by looking at the reflection of himself in the mirror.

Okay, now onto more current things. Wendy's new baby, Taylor, was baptized two days ago, and that was a very special experience - her dad was also baptized with her, and it was so touching. Tim really stepped up to defend his faith, and he was really proud that he made the choice to be baptized. Our family is religious and he wanted to be a part of not only our family, but God's family (seriously - it's almost word for word or what he said). It was really sweet, and Taylor is getting so big - she's just a few days over two months old now, and so cute.

I saw Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End on Friday. When we went to see it (me and Chris), I had worked a 9 hour shift and was exhausted, but really wanted to see it. I was a little bit disappointed because the fight scenes were long, and some of the stuff that they included wasn't pertinent (i.e. Keith Richards as Jack's dad randomly thrown in there...and such a crappy actor). However, the more that I think about it - particularly after I've gotten some rest - the more I liked it. The trilogy on a whole is really good, and I liked what they did with a lot of characters, particularly Will. (And finally someone in that movie was attractive - because before I really didn't see all the hype over Johnny and Orlando.)

What else? I've been working a lot of hours at work, which makes me feel really pleased. I'm hoping that I can make enough money to pay for school (or at least one semester by the end of the summer and then go from there), and also afford to do a few fun things. I want to see a few movies this summer: Pirates, Shrek, Harry Potter, Die Hard; and who knows what other events or outings will pop up. The only vacation plans thusfar are to visit the cottage for some R&R at the end of the summer. Don is coming to visit for a few weeks too, so I think that maybe we will do some stuff.

Stratford Festival is fast approaching for this year, too. Uncle Jay and I are going to see A Comedy of Errors at the Avon theatre this year. The Avon has been recently (well, past 5 years) renovated and it's quite nice. We went to the Tom Patterson theatre once and vowed to not return, unless Henry V was playing because Uncle Jay desperately wants to see it. Anyhow, I am really looking forward to it, and am glad that it is coming up this Saturday!!!

I should be going - I have a lot of 7th Heaven to catch up on. I've been taping it while at work, and the tapes are piling up - not to mention that I have three seasons to watch, but I think I will save those for the cottage or something like that. I should probably get out of my pajamas too, because I'll have to go to swimming lessons with Travis and Teesha in a few hours!

I'll leave you with an Orlando Bloom.
